I like how one of the smaller monsters looks vaguely like a Tepig. Though maybe that's just me.

...I think I'm gonna like Berc.

I note that there is no stated reason to want points, the task is to "survive"...

And five points for "defeating" other agents. So killing them or leaving them incapacitated on a death island or, umm, burning them with sick rhymes until they cry?

Actually, you only fail if you die, defeat is not a fail condition, so you can just find someone else and trade wins in, like- Oh EMM GEEEEE!!! This is why they tested roshambo skills!!! Kina Winterspell you sly genius! Just find another agent, embark upon a full week's worth of the most epic roshambo war in history and you will drown in all the points that rain down upon you!

But, for reals, I get that you can't always trust other agents, but big cash prizes for every "agent" kill seems a bit of an extreme method for teaching this lesson. Didn't they want to replenish their numbers after a big bout of ablative-agent success? They are really going for the quality over quantity for people looking to bolster numbers...

Hi Berc! Nice to see you outside of the top banner. :D

Of course, I doubt many of the Agent Hopefuls agree with me. The question is, at what point would one or more (as I do expect alliances to start forming *significant glance up at the pink-haired character sharing the banner with Berc and our titular star*) hopefuls be considered 'defeated'? I'm guessing that these fights won't be to the death, but what happens if someone DOES die? And what happens post non-lethal defeats—are the losers immediately removed from the competition, or are they allowed to remain in contention? (My money is on the latter, but I'm looking forward to getting some exposition over the next few pages!)

Kina, Berc is cheating, you cannot stop Berc from talking over you with that cheating sparkle-magic going on. You must use shout magic, enough to make the walls crack, then there will be no more talking over you unless the sparkles become so sparkly that they blot out the noonday sun. The important thing is to just keep escalating! The best part is that once the entire village is a crumbling crevice gouged from the surrounding stone, the prospective agents that are still alive should all be qualified! It must be better than waiting around for a week playing voyeur...

@Readalie: the dude in the header isn't berc! if you look closely, berc's teeth are not pointy while the dude's teeth in the header are.
